Why Should You Attend West Jefferson Middle School?

Most students that attend the elementary schools that feed into our school attend West Jefferson Middle School. 

While students are in middle school for less time than elementary or high school, we offer courses and activities that can help students find a place they feel comfortable in their middle school years and beyond.

Academic acceleration options we offer include accelerated math for students that want to take Geometry in ninth grade and Spanish for students that want to take Spanish 2 in ninth grade.

Students interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) may join our active Technology Student Association and compete against other middle school students in a variety of creative and technology-focused events at the state conference held each February in Denver.

Students interested in the performing arts may find their niche in our band or orchestra classes, choir, or theater. This can extend into extracurricular time with community programs.

Our students participate in team sports through the Middle School Sports Program (Jeffco League) that practice after-school at our school, and club sports activities in our community.
