Extracurricular Activities

Destination ImagiNation® is a community-based, school-friendly program that takes the ideas of creativity, problem-solving and teamwork and packages them in a fun and meaningful program. Based on the concept of divergent thinking - understanding that there is more than one way to solve a problem - Destination ImagiNation® encourages children to build on their strengths and to discover skills they never knew they possessed.

West Jeff Middle's Destination ImagiNation® teams will meet on Friday afternoons during the 2023-2024 school year. A small number of openings are available on existing teams, and adult volunteers to mentor and manage teams can help expand the Destination ImagiNation® program at our school. If your student is interested in participating or you are an adult interested in volunteering, please contact Laurie Woulfe at lh.woulfe@gmail.com.

Technology Student Association (TSA) is a national leadership organization with opportunities in technology, innovation, design and engineering. Members apply STEM concepts through co-curricular programs. Students in TSA are clustered into Advise classes - 8th grade with Mr. Peel, 7th grade with Mr. Wooldridge. Student leaders within TSA attend the Fall Leadership Conference. All members participate in BEST Robotics during the fall and attend the Colorado TSA State Conference, which includes competition events, in February.

Team sports through Gold Crown and Jeffco League/Middle School Sports Program are offered at our school outside of the school day. Please see the Athletics page for more information.
